Veteran singer and composer Bappi Lahiri passed away on Tuesday. His doctor had revealed that he died due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The singer was 69. The entire nation is mourning the loss of the legendary 'Disco King'. Singer Ila Arun visited the singer-composer's residence to pay her last respects on Wednesday.

Talking about the grieving family, she had told ANI, "His son will arrive by tonight. His daughter is in a bad state, feeling miserable. Everyone in the family is grief-sticken."

Earlier, it was reported that Bappi Lahiri had last spoken to his daughter Rema Lahiri before he passed away. A family friend of the Lahiris talked about Bappi Das's final moments and told IndiaToday.in, "Bappi Da collapsed in his daughter Rema's arms. His daughter Rema was the last person he was speaking to. The entire family is devastated." It added, "Bappi Da had Covid last year and after that his condition worsened. He never recovered from it."

Dr Deepak Namjoshi told PTI, "Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) shortly before midnight."

Bappi Lahiri's funeral will take place today. ANI had tweeted, "Last rites of singer-composer Bappi Lahiri will be performed tomorrow, say a relative."

Post his demise, tributes for the legendary musician poured in on social media from Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Ajay Devgan among others.
